A few kilometers away from CapalBIOfattoria in Garavicchio (Capalbio), you can reach the Tarot’s Garden, evocative work by the French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
The construction of the park, one of a kind, began in 1979 and the will of the author was to shape in the Garden the magical dream of his life.
She realized, together with a team of important contemporary artists, twenty-two massive steel and concrete sculptures, covered with glass, mirrors and colorful ceramics.
Among the figures, all inspired by the major arcana of the Tarot, special mention should be the Tree of Life, the Emperor, the Empress Sphinx and Temperance.
The Tarot’s Garden was completed in 1997 and finally opened to the public a year later.
Today you can visit the park from the 1st of April to the 15th of October, every day of the week from 14:30 to 19:30.
